BA Graphic and Communication Design

A nutrition-loving graphic design graduate with a passion for packaging design, typography, illustration, and branding! Having consistently achieved first-class grades, my ambition to develop my design skills and push the full potential of my creativity stays with me beyond my university years. The next step in fulfilling these design ambitions, is to keep expanding my knowledge and dive into the exciting world of the graphic design industry.

Mindfull is the first nutrition magazine tailored for individuals with ADHD, both in content and in structure. In the UK, 42% of those with diagnosed ADHD do not take medication due to various inhibiting factors. Mindfull was created to fill this gap, informing those with the scientific links between nutrition and enhanced cognitive function (for ADHD symptom relief), whilst being an engaging and fun read. Please note that all photographs in the magazine were taken by myself (that includes the nuts)!

Tying off the university experience called for creating a brief that was challenging in multiple areas of graphic design, including photography, illustration, user experience, brand, and editorial design. My brief was inspired by my interest in health and nutrition and my personal goal to learn more about ADHD symptom management, following a recent diagnosis.

The project’s objective was to celebrate and normalise neurodiversity through elegant graphic design and offer the latest nutrition advice alongside recipe layouts optimised for ADHDers. Recipe layouts are designed with visual aids and broken-down steps to make retaining information easier. Please see above to view a few examples of the magazine’s spreads.
