I am a drawer and painter who focused on the natural structures within mushrooms for my work in the Degree show. I photographed close-up images of my drawings and enlarged them to show a different perspective of the mushroom. This allowed me to focus on the attention to detail in the lines through the strokes used.
For this work, I used tonal pencil and acorn ink to create unique shapes and lines within the mushroom, paying close attention to detail within the strokes used. The A1 scale allowed me to focus on the structure and accurately demonstrate the beauty within the organic forms and patterns. The overall outcome displayed a wide variety of shapes and lines due to the different structures of mushrooms.
