This sculpture, ‘Layers of the Hidden’, visually expresses the similarities and differences between plant and mammal tissues, whilst simultaneously portraying the connection between art and science methods of practice. It provides a summary of the observations and insights gathered throughout the process of analysing patterns within tissues under the microscope and those occurring through artistic mediums.
